I did um and ah over doing a Christmas gift guide this year, as I feel like sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming when everyone seems to be posting them, and in recent years, I’ve found it quite easy to not think too hard about them and just shove stuff in a post, without thinking too much about it.
I have no idea if that makes any sense?
But anyways, this year, I decided to do just one and I wanted to make it a really lovely gift guide full of things that I know I would love to find under the tree on December 25th.
So I hope you like my gift guide, and I’ve also put some other gift suggestions below that I think are a good shout!
Beauty :
Of course beauty sets are a pretty easy present to buy, and even easier if you know what your recipient likes. I know it’s a bit basic, but I think you can never go wrong with bath sets, brands like Soap & Glory always go down very well, and the products are always very good quality. They have some super cute gift sets this year.
I also like the Zoella beauty range, which is perfect for younger members of the family, though her latest collection is really lovely and I’d love to receive it and I’m in my late twenties! The Milky Way Bath is really cute, and the Moisturising Solid Bath Oil is a lovely stocking filler. The Zoella Lifestyle range has some lovely bits too, including this winter warmer set, I love the mittens that come with this- so cute!
Mini Essie Christmas Kit – perfect for any nail lovers in your life as this is a lovely little gift set featuring three festive essie colours.
Charlotte Tilbury : Okay so this is bit extravagant, but isn’t Charotte Tilbury make up the dream present to receive on Christmas day right? I think if you want to splash the cash, her lipsticks are beautiful and make a really lovely present.
Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette : Another bigger make up present, but I think any make up lover would love to receive one of the most hyped palettes of 2018. It’s full of rich cherry, burgundy and bronze shades so perfect for this time of year!
Perfume : So men do get slack for rocking up at Boots on Christmas eve and buying perfume for their wives/girlfriends, but personally I think perfume is a lovely gift. It’s not really something you buy for yourself, so I think it’s a lovely treat. Some of my current faves are Salvatore Ferragamo – Amo Ferragamo and Babe Dreams by Missguided (if you like the smell of Lush- you’ll LOVE this!)
Isle of Paradise Tan – If you know a fake tan lover, why not get them some new tan to try? The Isle of Paradise tan has been super hyped this year, and I’m so excited to try their dark range, it’s super cute and they have some lovely gift sets in Boots!
Hair Accessories : Kitsch is my fave place for cute hair accessories, and I’m not usually a hair accessory kind of person. They have gorgeous clips, slides and even their bobbles are pretty.
Bags :
I love a new bag, and think it’s a perfect Christmas present, obviously it is quite a personal thing, and you do have to know the person’s taste and preferences for who you are buying for! This pink Estella Barlett bag is beautiful and a lovely present, it comes in lots of other colours too!
They also have a lovely travel wallet too, which would be perfect if the person you’re buying for is always jetting off!
Jewellery is always a good idea, I love dainty pieces and Estella Bartlett and Ania Haie are perfect for this kind of jewellery. Both are very affordable brands and have some really lovely pieces, also the Ania Haie packaging is seriously dreamy.
Books :
I love getting books for Christmas, whether it’s books to read or coffee table books, I always think they make a nice present. I love the pink and gold version of Sali Hughes’s Pretty Honest and think it makes a gorgeous present!
Stationery :
Stationery is always a good gift idea, who doesn’t love a new journal or notepad? One of my fave brands are Ohh Deer as they have lots of unique stationary, I love this pink marble weekly planner and their 2019 journals are gorgeous! Chroma Stationery also have personalised 2019 diaries which are beautiful!
Candles :
So I know everyone takes the mick out of twenty somethings for gifting candles for everyone, it’s like that Oprah meme ‘you get a candle, you get a candle, you get a candle!’ But personally I’d be disappointed if I didn’t get a candle at Christmas! I love Yankee Candle’s Christmas range, their Sweet Frosting from the elevation range is my new fave this year!
I also love this Pink Champagne candle from The House Outfit who are one of my favourite places to get home-ware from, they have so many gorgeous chic gifts for the house, and this candle is beautiful. I think anyone would love it, although it is almost too pretty to burn!
Prints :
I also love getting prints as I think they’re quite a personal and thoughtful gift, especially if you know someone who loves house decor or has recently moved in. The House Outfit have loads of gorge prints to choose from, I love this pink print which I’ve got in my office, they have so many different ones and we have some in our dining room which we adore! I think this is such a lovely present to receive!
Mugs :
I have about 263 mugs (slight exaggeration) but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love a good mug present. Pretty mugs are my fave and the bigger the better, add some hot chocolate and marshmallows to the mix for a perfect gift, or some nice coffee and syrup for any coffee lovers. Such a lovely gift that they’ll genuinely use!
Other gift ideas which aren’t included in the photos :
Vouchers : I know vouchers may seem impersonal but I ruddy love a voucher! Buy someone a voucher for their fave shop, or a fave restaurant if you’re buying a present for a couple, or the cinema – you’ll have paid for a date night, how nice is that? If your BFF loves getting her lashes done, get her a voucher to get her lashes done or nails, etc… I think they’re such a good idea and not impersonal at all! I love a good voucher haha.
Pyjamas :
I love new pyjamas and I’m sure everyone does. Places like Primark and H&M have some gorgeous ones and are really affordable, and if you want to splash out, somewhere like Fat Face does amazingly soft pyjamas!
DVD’s :
Okay so I know everyone’s got Netflix but can you beat a good old DVD- I love scouring places like CEX for older dvd’s that I think people will like, the other day I saw a Sabrina The Teenage Witch box set and The OC box set which I thought would make a cool present. You could do a bundle of must see films and put some hot chocolate and face masks with it for a pamper evening.
Alcohol :
If all else fails buy them a bottle of their fave drink; pink gin, Baileys, Rose, prosecco etc…it never goes wrong.
Okay and I think I’m officially out of present ideas!
I’d love to know what you’re buying everyone this Christmas? Let me know in the comments!
