After posting my guide to The Most Instagrammable Places At Walt Disney World & Universal Orlando, quite a few of you asked for a similar guide to Disneyland Paris. It seems like quite a few of you have trips coming up soon to visit (I am SO jealous) so I thought I’d go through my Insta pics and recommend some spots for photos.
To be honest, like Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris is very instagrammable, however, I thought I’d share some of the spots where I got some cool pictures last year when I visited, and hopefully it’s helpful to any of you who may be visiting soon!
Also one more thing before I start, I’ve only been to Disneyland Paris once, so I don’t know it as well as WDW and also I didn’t get time to head into Walt Disney Studios Park so all of these suggestions are for Disneyland Park and then mainly the Fanstasyland section, but hopefully these are still helpful and well I hope to go back again soon one day, so there could be a part two perhaps.
So let’s get started!
The Entrance Overlooking Disneyland Hotel
So just as you’re about to go into Disneyland Park, you will be greeted by the most amazing pink building which is The Disneyland Hotel, and in front of it will be some railing and a water fountain. Now this is the perfect place for Instagram photos, you could stand in the middle of the rails and pretend you’re on an episode of MTV Cribs and this is where you live.
Or just take a photo as the Disneyland Hotel is probably the most instagrammable place ever.
The Disneyland Hotel
So yes, speaking of The Disneyland Hotel( aka the prettiest building ever) it is full of Instagram opportunities. So obviously the exterior of the building, which is pink means that every angle is picture perfect, the lobby is also gorgeous, even the wallpaper is worthy of a picture!
When I went to Disneyland Paris with Primark, we did a photo shoot in a couple of the hotel rooms, one which had a terrace which was perfect for taking pics on. Also we shot in one of the amazing Castle Club rooms which looked out over to the castle (THE DREAM!) which as you can imagine made a seriously dreamy picture. If you ever stay in one of these rooms, then Instagram away!
Cafe Fantasia
So this piano cocktail bar is situated inside The Disneyland Hotel, however you can go and have a drink here even if you’re not staying at the hotel. We went here for pre dinner drinks, and asked for very Instagrammable drinks (yes really!) and then we drunk them on the outside terrace which is so pretty! We just asked if we could sit outside, and it’s the perfect place for taking pictures.
California Grill
Again this is a restaurant inside The Disneyland Hotel but again you don’t have to stay to be able to eat here. This is a gorgeous Victorian themed restaurant, and we were extremely lucky to be sat looking out towards the castle. Looking out watching the sun set over the castle was amazing, and definitely worth an Instagram snap. I’d also imagine it’d be amazing to watch the fireworks from here too!
Main Street
Like at Walt Disney World, Main Street is possibly the prettiest street ever. When I visited, it was in September so all of the Halloween stuff was starting to come out, which looked amazing.
All of the pastel coloured buildings look amazing in pictures and of course there’s that stretch leading up the castle which is perfect for pictures!
Gibson Girl
So this is an ice cream parlour and it’s very Instagrammable both inside and outside. Outside, the cream building is gorgeous and inside it’s all pink (perfect for anyone obsessed with pink like I am) then of course there’s the ice cream itself…
Ice Cream
So there’s an outdoor seating area with table and chairs just in front of Gibson Girl which is very pretty. We took a pic of our ice creams (and Mickey Mouse wafers) on the marble tables, perfect for Instagram don’t you agree?
The Wall By The Castle
So next I’m going to talk about a couple of spots by the castle that I found were perfect for taking photos. When we visited last September it was quite quiet within the parks, so this meant we were able to take pictures without too many people being in them, which is always a bonus. So firstly, in front of the castle is a wall, with a ledge/seat built into it. You can either sit on this ledge like I have done in the picture above, or be a rebel (I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do this) but stand on the ledge to take a picture. I loved how both of the pictures came out, and obviously the cute balloon helped too! But two really good ways to get a cute photo.
To The Side Of The Castle
Then to the side of the castle, you have a walkway, but this is usually quiet, so it’s perfect for a photo in front of the castle. I loved how these photos came out, and if you crouch down on the floor whilst taking the photo – the person in the photo will look taller and you should be able to get all of the castle in shot too, so winner winner!
The Teacups
So I know that I said about the teacups in my WDW Instagram post, but I’m going to say them again in this post cause the DLP ones are slightly brighter and are very cute. Either take pics of them themselves, or during the ride (remember to not spin whilst taking the photo or your photographer may look a little green!)
Alice’s Curious Labyrinth
This is a maze inspired by Alice in Wonderland and is a very fun/instgrammable attraction at DLP. We took some pictures right by the exit, but I wish we had more time to explore it as it looks so much fun!
Cookie Kitchen
On Main Street there is a few places to grab snacks and The Cookie Kitchen on Main Street has lots of snacks such as nutella muffins or these amazing cookies, which also conveniently double up as a cute Instagram picture too! Also we grabbed candyfloss from Main Street which was the perfect photo prop!
La Petite Maison Des Jouets
So this is a little shop next to the teacups in Fantasyland and I fell in love with how colourful it is. It makes a very cute picture, and will make you wish that all shops looked like this back home!
So I think that wraps it up for my Instagram recommendations for DLP today, like I said, I’ve only been once so hopefully one day, I’ll go again and hopefully find some more spots for Instagram photos!
I’d love to know if you have any recommendations for Instagramable places at Disneyland Paris?
Have a lovely day and I’ll see you soon 🙂
