You should know one thing about me.
And that is, that I am a massive essie fan girl. Like huge. The biggest.
I have my favourite colours and can spot an essie shade from a mile off, in fact I’ve had to stop myself from saying ‘are you wearing Fiji right now?’ to an absolute stranger on more than one occasion.
Anyways, you also should know that I have special nail polishes for special memories, for example, you can read here about my proposal and engagement polish which shocker, are both essie shades.
So with me being a bit sentimental let’s just say, about my nail polish choices, it probably won’t come as any surprise that I’ve already thought about how I want my nails for my wedding day next year. I can’t decide between false nails, gels or just using polish, but a new range from essie has come out which could definitely sway my choice towards the nail polish route a little more.
So this new range is from the essie gel couture collection, and wait for this, are you ready? It’s a bridal range.
Yes that’s right. A. Bridal. Nail. Polish. Range.
So the range has been designed in collaboration with Monique Lhuillier who is a bridal couture designer and let me just say, I’ve just looked at her bridal dresses and OH MY GOD THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!
Anyways swoon over, the six shades are designed with brides to be in mind, there’s the typical nude shades to some brighter more daring colours. So let’s have a look shall we?
Lace to the alter; is a pearly ivory colour which would be perfect for a subtle sheen, or for your bridesmaids/flower girls. Dress is more: a creamy ivory colour, perfect for a nude pale nail when white is too stark. Then we have blush worthy: is a blush pink with pink gold glitter flecks.
Then there’s sage you love me: a soft sage green which is so pretty for Spring (not sure I’d have green as my bridal nail colour choice though)
to have & to gold: a glittery rose gold which is SO pretty!
Then finally, berry in love; a deep plum red.
I do love the gel couture range as it’s so long lasting on the nails, I usually get a good 7-8 days without any chips, which I think is pretty good. The colours are really glossy, and I have to say I would definitely consider a gel couture polish for my wedding day nail.
Like the usual gel couture polishes, you apply two coats of polish and then add the Gel Couture top coat on top, which boosts shine, and has shatterproof technology making your manicure last as long as possible, which is great for people like me who can’t stand painting their nails haha! Or at least takes out that worry, of chipping your nails on your big day.
Of course you don’t have to be newly engaged or a bride to be, to enjoy this range, all the colours are perfect for Spring, but you’ll need to act fast as this range is limited edition and it’ll only be available till May. The polishes are £9.99 and are exclusively from Boots.
So what are you waiting for? My favourites from the range are either dress is more or to have & to gold, purely because I am like a little magpie and love anything that sparkles.
I absolutely love the range though, and think this is such a good idea!
Is there any colours that you want to try from the range? Also if you’ve got married or are planning your wedding, what are you thinking for your bridal nail choice? I’d love to know!
All I know right now, is that I want a nice pale baby pink nail for mine (SHOCKER!)
