I feel like I have been spoiling you lately with some very swoon worthy beauty products (see here, here and here.) Today I have some lipsticks, that will get your heart racing if that kinda thing floats your boat, and if you’re anything like me. It definitely does.
YSL beauty, always bring out the most gorgeous of products. I have been a big fan of their Touche Eclat foundation for a few years now, and their Rouge Volupte lipsticks were a treat that I bought with my department store employee discount back when I worked in one a few years ago. So you can imagine my excitement when six of the new shades from the Shine Oil range* dropped onto my doorstep. I say dropped, more like passed into my hands by the postman cause these babies are way to precious to ever be placed on the floor.
There’s 12 new shades to this range, which are more of a tint/gloss/balm hybrid than your usual matte/satin lip colour. They are super moisturising as they have 6 oils listed in the ingredients including pomegranate oil, macadamia butter, hyaluronic acid, etc… as well as pigments and pearls to give you the perfect summer lip product.
Whilst the lipsticks are glossy, they are still perfect for adding a swash of colour to your lips. The colour is actually pretty pigmented but can also be layered up to become brighter if you wish. But if you’re looking for a really intense matte bright lip colour these aren’t for you, however if you’re looking for a pretty tinted lipstick that still packs the punch with colour, then you’ll love these.
Something I love with the YSL lipsticks is not only do they look the bees knees, but they also smell amazing. So fruity and fresh, I just cannot get enough. They smell of holidays, and I for one cannot wait to use these this summer.
I have six shades from the new line up, these include; 42 (Baume Midi Minuit) a clear gloss, 43 (Rose Rive Gauche) a coral colour, 41 (Corail A Porter) a bright pink coral, almost like a flamingo pink. 44 (Nude Lavalliere) a nude mauve/taupe colour, 52 (Trapeze Pink) a purple toned magenta, and 50 (Fuchsia Stiletto) a bright fuchsia.
My favourite from my collection is either 41 or 44 as these are the colours that I would most probably wear on a day to day basis. However I think 50 would look amazing in the summer with an all black outfit! I think these are perfect for Summer and well if you’re jetting off anywhere nice this summer, then I’d definitely check these out in Duty free!
The Rouge Volupte Shine Oil Range is already out in stores and each lipstick is £26 each.
Will you be buying one, or have you already got your hands on one?
