Hello everyone! With us in December now, it’s time to get cracking on with Christmas shopping- I mean I am hoping that some of you haven’t been super organised and still have a lot to do (ahem like me) and if that’s the case, I’ve got a list of small business’s to choose from for gift ideas. I know that I’m trying to shop small and local where I can this year for Christmas, whilst this year has been hard for a lot of businesses, it’s been especially tough for smaller ones.
I thought I’d compile a list of my favourite places for gifts, and I’ll be adding to this post too! Also head over to my Instagram, as I’m doing small business shout out’s of the day too 🙂
Let me know if you have any recommendations!
Beauty
Local beauty businesses – a lovely gift idea is to find out your recipients favourite beauty salon, do they love getting their brows/lashes done? Does their hairdresser do vouchers? Or could you treat them to a massage/facial/pamper? I think this is a lovely idea for a pamper but also a treat and helps smaller beauty businesses too!
Food/ Sweet Treats
Treat Boxx – If you’re looking for a present for someone with a sweet tooth, look no further than treat Boxx, with bags of pick n mix, gift boxes and a seriously yum Christmas range (the fudge boxes – omg!) These are the perfect gift for anyone, I mean who doesn’t like receiving sweets and if they don’t, should you really have them in your life?
Homeware
Sorelo Official – On my wishlist for ages is one of the Sorelo Official’s diffusers, I think these look so lovely and perfect present for someone. I’d love to have one in the bedroom to relax too and I’m thinking about getting one to have in labour, they also have gorgeous candles too and accessories (the gold candle accessory kit is dreamy!)
Flare London – Very on trend this year is the womanly figure candle, I think these look gorgeous and are a fun little gift. I would love one of these in my office!

Micasa Decor – I stumbled across Micasa on Instagram and I was so happy as I’d been looking for some vases like this for my office. Gorgeous clay vases which are quite affordable and super fast delivery too!
Sally Faye – book & prints – If you’re looking for a gorgeous coffee table book to gift, then Sally’s All Black Everything has been on my wishlist for a little while now. Perfect for anyone you know who loves fashion (and especially wearing all black!!) Sally has also recently opened her own print shop too full of gorgeous prints that anyone would love to receive to adorn their home.
Pets
Life of Riley – We can’t forget about our pets can we? I say this as I have Frank next to me snoring away! I love Life Of Riley- they’re local to me but ship within the UK – they do homemade dog and cat treats which are all natural and Frank loves them! They do pouches of treats and have some cute Christmas box sets!
Clothing
The Nap Co– Pyjamas never go wrong right? Well I don’t think so, especially when they’re as luxurious as The Nap Co, yes these may seem a little pricey for pyjamas but they’re incredibly beautiful and who wouldn’t want to receive these on Christmas day?
Pretty Lavish – I adore Pretty Lavish, set up by two sisters, and their collections are always so gorgeous. Perfect for knit wear, loungewear and even beautiful blouses and dresses. Would definitely recommend for the fashionista in your life.
Silk & Stars – Another gorgeous small fashion business, I love Silk & Stars knitwear offerings at the moment, I always think you can’t go too wrong with knitwear, especially when it’s as pretty as this!
Girl Knows All – If you love casual pieces like graphic sweatshirts and joggers, you’ll love Girl Knows All- my favorite place for sweatshirts and I think these make a fab present as they’re super on trend and so easy to wear and throw on with so many outfits!
Accessories

That’s Sew Hayley – Masks- A very 2020 gift idea but we all need them right now so why not gift someone some which are sustainable, and from a small business (they also look very pretty too!!) I am a bit bias as this is my sister’s business, but her masks are so comfortable, easy to wear, wash well and lots of lovely designs too!
Cece’s Crowns – Headbands are still a big love of mine, will I ever not want to be Blair Waldorf? Probably not, so perfect for any other Blair wannabe’s in your life.
Beads In The City – Cute little personalised bracelets, I love these types of bracelets and think they would make a lovely stocking filler! I’m going to be ordering a few once baby is here 🙂
Baby / New Mum/ Mum To Be

Something a little different – The most lovely gifts for Mum To Be – their hospital bag packages are amazing and such a thoughtful gift! I have the pre packed bag which has all the essentials you need and all the products are eco friendly. There’s lots of other lovely gifts for Mum & Baby for all budgets, including hospital boxes, slippers, dressing gowns and cuddly toys. *press sample*

Poppy & Kind – Poppy & kind do lovely gifts for Mum To Be which includes candles and Mum To be boxes, made from soy wax they smell amazing, but also have candles that anyone would love to recieve! *candle is press sample*
Paper & Wool – From gorgeous personalised baby grows to beautiful accessories for a baby’s nursery and even lovely stocking fillers for Mum To Be including birth affirmation cards and milestone cards.
Magnet Mouse – A very handy and beautiful present would be a present from Magnet Mouse – who specialise in magnetic baby grows which look SO handy! Beautifully made, and will save Mum/Dad so much time when changing. I can’t wait to order a few once baby is here, but they do some lovely unisex ones too!
The Little Handmade Company – If you’re looking for a beautiful handmade mobile – then this is the place for you. Set up recently by Verity who is a Mum and also local to me, she makes lovely pieces for a nursery. This is quite a personal present, but if you know what the parents to be are decorating their little one’s room like or if you’re looking for one for your baby’s room – definitely check them out.
Jewellery
Little Nell – I asked for some jewellery recommendations on Instagram the other day, and so many people messaged about Little Nell- I was so overjoyed to find someone who is local to me, and her jewellery is gorgeous! I made my first order the other night and I’m so excited 🙂 Penny is also pregnant too so I was so excited to find her jewellery business 🙂
Twilight London – I was also really happy to be recommended Twilight London as they have a lot of the trend ear pieces like huggies, barbells and cuffs but for pretty affordable prices. I’m so excited for my pieces to come, my ears will have never looked so good!
Luna Grey Studio – For resin type pieces, my sister recommended Luna Grey – super pretty jewellery, I love all the star themed pieces.
If you have any small business recommendations, leave them in the comments below as I’d love to see!
