Although so far, 2020 is the year that I’ve spent the least time in shoes since I was probably a baby ๐ I have some new winter boots that I am quite literally obsessed with. And they will thankfully be something that will last for years and years, so hopefully in years to come when we’re back to wearing shoes more and going out, they’ll still be going strong.
So what an intro eh?
I was recently contacted by Dr Martens asking if I’d like to receive a pair of their chelsea boots to try, I was convinced the email was spam, I mean Dr Martens wanted to send ME some boots? What on earth!

But it was indeed real! I chose my boots, and opted for the faux fur lined Chelsea Boots or as they’re officially called : the 2976 Quad Fur Lined Platform Boots – I chose these ones because 1 : I’m on the shorter side so anything with a bit of a platform is a winner with me and 2. Not only did the faux fur sound cosy, but it makes them super comfy meaning no wearing in phase which Dr Martens are renowned for – winner winner.
I was initially worried if they’d suit me, would they be too cool for me? But I have to say I am obsessed, they go with everything – jeans, leather leggings, dresses, skirts, etc… and the platform doesn’t look too Spice Girls 1996 vibes either which I mean no offence to Baby Spice but not exactly the look I was aiming for in 2020.

They are pretty heavy though, so your legs get a good workout whilst wearing them, but the faux fur makes them SO comfy and snuggly.
Like I said, I’m obsessed, and I’m a bit gutted that I’ve not been able to get out too much to show them off ๐
My Mum said I was a ‘cool mum’ wearing them ๐
I’ve always wanted a pair of Dr Martens and I feel so incredibly lucky that I now own a pair, they aren’t the cheapest of shoes but they’re such an investment and will last for years and years!
Do you own any Dr Martens?
