I genuinely thought I’d left behind headbands, scrunchies and hair clips back in 1998, but here we are in 2019, and hair accessories are a big deal right now.
You’ve probably seen everyone and their nan rocking a giant pearl clip on Instagram, and headbands being adorned on everyone’s head. And I am definitely a big fan of this trend.
I mean some of it is probably due to my watching of Gossip Girl (for the 2836th time) and my forever obsession with Blair Waldorf.
But I can never turn down a hair accessory, and have been loving seeing everyone take on the trend.
But today, I want to talk about headbands, because I’m obsessed.
I’v already wrote about, my love for hair accessories, which you can read here, but today I wanna talk about some headbands that I love, and I think Blair Waldorf would totally approve of.
I’ve been looking for the perfect embellished headbands for ages, and I did find some beautiful ones, but my god were they expensive. As much as I love a headband, I’m probably not going to shell out £40 for one. I mean I could buy a pair of Topshop jeans for that and who knows how long the headband trend will last for right?
However if like me you’re looking for the perfect headband but don’t want to spend too much,I’ve got you.
I got a DM on Instagram from Emma who makes embellished headbands on Etsy, her shop is called Cece’s Crowns and her headbands are beautiful.
She very kindly sent me a couple and I had to post about them cause I know you’ll love them too.
They’re so well made, really beautiful and the best thing? Totally affordable.
I know right? Don’t tell Blair!
I have the Blair headband (of course!) which is a navy satin band with silver embellished jewels and the Patricia which is a black satin band with gold and pearl embellishments.
They are so lovely, are really comfortable (nothing worse than a headband that pinches at the ears- I genuinely think the amount of headbands I wore as a child that did this to me is probably why I’m so shocking at maths 😂 they probably affected my brain.)
I had to post about them cause I think they’re a real find and know you’ll love them as much as I do .
So yeah, my fellow Blair Waldorf wannabes, this is for you!
