To brighten up Winter, essie have just released their second Retro Revival Collection after the success of last years range (which you can read about here!) The collection is inspired by the glittering lights of Vegas, which is where essie was launched in 1981. The limited edition is made up of six colours which are ‘hard to find’ legendary essie shades, which will be sure to get your heart in a flutter if you’re a hardcore essie fan.
I personally much prefer the colours in this year’s collection, as pretty much all of them, are ones that I would wear quite happily. You guys know me, I’m not overly adventurous with my nail polish colour choices. However this line up features pale pinks and nudes which definitely float my boat.
So the shades are ; Flawless (my fave from the range) a pastel Barbie pink, Chastity – a purple toned pink (also pretty Barbie like!) Prima Bella – a glittery magenta, Sweet Tart – a shimmery taupe, Bold Beauty – a deep wine colour and finally Pure Chiffon – a champagne shimmer. All the shades are very wearable, with of course the pink shades being my top choices.
The lids all have a gold star design too which I think is worth buying the polishes for alone!
The brushes are all wide too, meaning that painting your nails with them is very easy and pretty hard to mess up. As always the formula is long lasting and two coats is the perfect amount for your nail. I wore Flawless all last week and loved how it looked. The collection is limited though, and will only be around till March 14th.
The collection is in both Boots and Superdrug, and each polish is £7.99 each, but just make sure you act fast if you want to get your hands on them! They’ve definitely left me wishing for a trip to Vegas though, who wants to come?
* Also I can confirm that no nail polishes were harmed in the making of this post.
