Recently I was challenged by Kinder Bueno, to show what was really in my handbag on my blog. To be honest, I was more than happy to agree as one of my most guilty pleasures in life, is seeing what is in people’s handbags. In fact, I’m sure that the ‘What’s In My Handbag’ videos are amongst some of the most popular on YouTube. I guess we are all a bunch of Nosey Nora’s. Although, I have done posts like this before, I thought it might be fun to see what is actually inside my handbag. No clearing out, no re arranging, just what is exactly in my handbag right now… and why.
Yes btw, all my bags are like Hermione Granger’s in Harry Potter. Literally can fit the whole house in there.
Phone– Okay so this is no surprise right? Especially as I’m usually surgically attached to my phone. I have all the usual apps on there such as Instagram and Twitter, and usually it’s not far by my side!
Purse– Easily the biggest thing in my handbag and the heaviest too. Not because I have a ton of cash like I’m Richie Rich, oh no, because I am the worst hoarder for receipts and loose change! I have recently been transferring loose change into a money box in the hope that it will add up to something. Girl’s gotta hope right? I am desperate to get a new purse soon as I feel I need to carry something a little smaller – I’m thinking maybe a little purchase in NYC?
Kinder Bueno– You may think this is a bit of a random thing to have in my handbag but I always have to have an emergency snack with me in my bag. Sometimes if I am on the run and need something to keep me going, I always keep a snack in my bag. Recently, I have been a little obsessed with Kinder Bueno, with its creamy hazelnut filling inside chocolate-coated wafer, I promise you will love these. I have a little collection at home, and always throw one in my handbag cause I tend to never be able to resist when I’m on the train and know one is in there. They’re also great as they have two bars, so you can make them last a little longer and split them up and eat them at separate times of the day. When I had my office job, I always had one of these in my desk drawers too. Perfect snack on the go, and of course in case I get trapped somewhere in a zombie apocalypse.
Portable Charger- Oh my, this is a lifesaver. . This charger was actually given to me as part of a goody bag when we went on Trek America. I’ve looked after it though and you can get it on Amazon too. It’s a bit bulky, and quite heavy, but gives you a full charge three times, and also has multiple ports so you can charge a few things at the same time. So good, and so worth having, if you are prone to always being on Instagram like me.
Face Powder- I usually tend to get a little shiny throughout the day, especially if I’m running round London on the tubes, and dashing to events. So I always make sure that I have some sort of powder in my bag just in case.
Lipstick– I mean what is a girl’s handbag without a lipstick right? Recently, my go to lip product is this lipstick from Kiko. It’s a lipstick called Hearty Peach which is a muted coral/peach colour. Perfect for sunnier days and for brightening up your make up look.
Hand Sanitiser– Yep, as you should know by now, I am a bit of a germophobe. So I always have to have some hand sanitiser with me. Let’s be honest, there’s not too much to say about this, it’s just common sense to have it right? Right?
Chewing Gum- I am going to let you into a little secret. I feel a bit lost if I don’t have any chewing gum on me. I don’t know but I always worry if I don’t have some. So usually you will find several packs in my bag. I tend to always pick up a multi pack and then I’m stocked up for a while. Yes, I definitely feel that this post is really showing you the real me. Haha.
Headphones– Always a must if you are travelling anywhere, cause you know, it’d be awful if you had to participate in actual human conversation.
Perfume/Deodorant– Again another essential for me, my perfume of choice has been the Eccentric Molecules 01 fragrance, which is really fresh and also comes in a little bottle which is perfect for travelling!
So there we have it, my handbag essentials-phone, purse, gum and Kinder Bueno. I also have numerous other things such as; Sunglasses, travel wallet, eyeliner, and a pen. Cause you know, you never know when you might need a pen?
