I don’t know what’s been wrong with me so far this autumn, but my clothes have been very basic. I have shunned the detailed pieces and gone for basic simple pieces that are easy to match to other items and more versatile. I decided that this Autumn, I wanted more of a capsule wardrobe as in the past, I have bought a lot of things that can only be worn with one thing in the past, and this year I didn’t want to only be able to wear half my wardrobe. So I’ve gone for the opposite and bought lots of transitional pieces, and I’ve kind of forgot about buying anything colourful. It’s autumn though, so that’s okay right?
I feel this is kind of my uniform these days, a vest top, leather jacket, boots and ripped jeans. Though the other day my knees did feel a bit cold in the chilly weather, so I may have to re think this when winter comes along or just make my knees man up.
I have to say though, I am quite enjoy dressing more simple, I find that it saves me time in the morning when choosing what to wear, and for the first time in a while, I’m quite happy with my wardrobe though it may seem a little boring to some! Here’s to Autumn and being okay with dressing in all black *please tell me it’s not just me ditching the colour?*
