Simple Skincare is a skincare brand that I used a lot when I was growing up. Free of nasties and good enough value for my teenage pocket money full purse, it was a good brand to turn to. Over the past few years I suppose I have forgotten about Simple. But lately I’ve been trying out some of their products again, and I’d forgotten about some of the gems in their range. Simple have launched their Simple Sense tool lately which gives customers personalised results on what 4 step skincare routine to use and which products are best for their skin.
The four steps are Deep Cleanse, Polish, Treat and Protect. These four steps help to keep your skin clear, hydrated and healthy which is what we all need in the current cold weather. I’ve been trying out some products from the four step range and I have my thoughts on some of the favourites. Whilst I’ve not been using them long enough to see a huge difference, but I have seen some small differences and I’ll keep you updated as time goes on. With my current cleanser running low, I have been using Simple’s Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser as a next step after taking my make up off, this has left my skin feeling clean and totally make up free whilst not drying out my skin. The Kind to Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion has been good for taking off my make up (don’t use for the eyes) and these two have been working well for me in the evening’s. For the polish part of the routine I have been enjoying using the Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner, this gentle toner has been great for morning’s and night as it’s gentle but also helps to revitalise my skin.
Onto the treat part, the Kind to Skin Eye Make Up Corrector Pen is great for when you make a error with your eye make up and that usually happens most days with me. It looks like one of those eraser pens you used to get back in school, but instead of erasing pen it erases make up. Another product from the Treat routine is the Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On, this is probably my favourite simple product. The roll is so refreshing for tired eyes, the formula is cooling and it’s great for soothing my tired weary eyes when Frankie has woken me up at 6:30am. I have also noticed that my eye circles are illuminated and the area is brighter after using this product meaning I have to use less concealer.
Me wearing the BB Cream and Illuminating cream..
The final step of the routine is to Protect the skin, the Kind to Skin + Perfecting Beauty Balm and Illuminating Radiance Cream are great for adding a glow to your skin. The BB cream comes in one shade and is a low/medium coverage. It leaves you with a nice natural finish to your skin and is great for days when you’re just popping out, but it’d be perfect for young teenage skin. I found the lasting coverage isn’t as long as I’d like but for a BB cream I was pretty impressed. The Radiance cream is a moisturiser which illuminates your skin, it’s great for dull skin days and the two products work really well together.
I’ve been enjoying using Simple again and I’m sure I will continue to enjoy using these products. What’s your favourite Simple products have you taken the Simple Sense questionnaire yet?
