I will put my hands up and tell you right now that I am a huge Zoella fan. Zoe’s blog was one of the first that I ever read back in 2010, and I’ve always been a keen follower of her videos, posts, Instagrams, you name it I’m interested. I’ve always admired Zoe, because I love how open she is about her anxiety, and I’ve always admired her beauty and fashion sense. I can see why she’s done so well, not only is she incredibly hard working and creative, but she’s also relatable to girls. Even now, although she may have millions of followers on Twitter and Instagram, I don’t see her like a movie star, someone who I’ll never be like, or can’t relate to. She’s still Zoe. A blogger who’s blog I love.
I was so excited to see Zoe was releasing a beauty range in 2014, as like I said above, I’ve always valued her opinion on beauty products. Let’s be honest who else bought the Kate Moss Rimmel 107 lipstick because of Zoe? Her first two beauty ranges I thought were cute, but weren’t particularly up my street. I felt like they were probably aimed at a slightly younger audience which is understandable considering a lot of Zoe’s viewers are young teens. However recently she released her third collection, the Sweet Inspirations range. I was very, very lucky to receive some products from Zoe to try, and I can tell you right now, that as a 25 year old woman (yes I’m 25 but I feel like Britney – I’m not a girl not yet a woman most of the time, but I don’t know what else to say) I would happily buy these products.
There’s 8 products in the range, ranging from body lotion, bath salts, make up bags, and a body mist. I have the Bath Latte – a creamy bath and shower milk. The Double Creme Body lotion – a rich macaron scented body cream, and the Sugar Dip Scented Bath Salt Crystals – sweet scented bath salts. I’ve been meaning to post this review for a couple of weeks, as I’ve been trying out the products most days. I have to say I’m impressed.
I love a sweet scent, in fact the sweeter the better. I am that girl with a cupcake candle pretty much always burning, and I love anything that smells like chocolate, or vanilla. So it’s no surprise that this range is so up my street. The scents are quite sweet, I’d describe it as a little vanilla, cocoa, and almond all thrown together. It’s not too overbearing, or too sickly. It’s quite subtle, and fresh. It’s girly, but won’t remind you of the stuff you wore as a 12 year old. I think if you’ve got a sweet tooth and love sweet scents, you’ll love the range no matter what your age is.
The packaging is also so cute. Lots of pastel colours, and gold, it’s very pretty. But it’s not too young, I’d happily have these in my bathroom and well actually I do. The prices are also really good too, everything is under £12. A make up bag and the Body Fondant are the most expensive products at £12 and £10 but everything else is £6-9 which I think is very good value.
From using the products, I love the Bath Latte the most, mainly because I’ve never seen anything like it before. I love the packaging and the idea of it, I did manage to use quite a lot in the bath, as I found it quite hard to control how much came out. I probably used almost half a bottle and then was like ‘oh I think I’ve used too much.’ However I’m now using it as a shower milk instead and I use a little bit, lather it up and it smells so good! It lathers really nicely which is perfect for in the shower. and a little goes a long way. The Bath Salts are also nice, you have to run them under water to dissolve rather than just throwing them in the bath, they smell really lovely and I noticed they turned the bath a slight baby blue colour. The body lotion is also lovely, the smell lasts a pretty long time on your skin, and it isn’t sticky, or neither does it take ages to dry.
I think I might have to make a Feel Unique order and order the Bath Fizzers and the Body Mist as I bet they smell amazing.
The collection is also in Superdrug too, so if you’re still not sure maybe go and give it a sniff, as I promise if you like sweet scents, you’ll love this range.
I feel like Zoe has hit the nail on the head with this range, it’s suitable for all ages, I feel like your 12 year old cousin would like it, whilst your BFF would too. I’m excited to see what else Zoe brings out in the future, but this is my favourite range yet. Huge you go glen coco to Zoe!
