Don’t get me wrong I love browsing the websites of my favourite high street stores, but with Zara and Topshop being in my bookmarked pages, we all know that they’re not the cheapest of places. With A/W clothes filling up our favourite shop’s new arrivals page, I thought I’d have a little look to see if you can get items cheaper else where on the high street. I’m going to concentrate on shoes today, always a tricky one and something a lot of you always ask me. What shoes do you wear everyday? Myself I’m quite boring, flats and sandals in the summer and ankle boots in the winter. I’m only ever remotely good in heels after one or two cocktails! I’ve chosen three classic shoes which look like they’re going to be great for the rest of summer and throughout Autumn. Here we have the heels, the wedge and the boot.
First of all we have these sophisticated nude heels from Zara. This shape has been popular for about twelve months now, classic and flattering it goes with lots of different outfits. Zara have bought out a plethora of colours in this style, but I love the nude ones as nude really does go with everything. These high heels from New Look are a pretty much exact dupe, a slight colour difference but they are very similar in style. I think they look really classic and can imagine them looking amazing with some black jeans. At just £24.99 they’re a bargain not to be sniffed at.
If you’ve got a girl crush on Kate Middleton like I have, you’re probably going to like these K-Middy inspired wedges. She actually has some of the LK Bennett wedges but at over £170 a pair, they really are something only a Princess could afford right now. However I have found some very similar nude wedges from New Look. They’re not patent but are a little bit softer for summer. At £17.99 we can get the Kate look without the price tag. Now where’s my polka dot dress?
Finally cut out boots look like they’re going to be pretty popular this A/W. I love these two pairs that I have found from Topshop and New Look. The topshop one’s are lighter in colour and not as high as the New Look ones, but with our unpredictable weather I have a feeling that not only are the New Look version more budget friendly but also a bit more practical too. Yes that’s right Granny Annie is striking yet again.
From looking for dupes of high street stores it has showed me that if you look at other places you can really get yourself a bargain. Sure you may have to wait a little while for popular styles to come into other stores, but with prices a little cheaper you can afford to buy two pairs and not just one. That to me sounds like a very good idea 😉
I hope you all have a great weekend 🙂
