I know that I should be loving this hot sunny weather that we’ve been having lately, and don’t get me wrong I have been. But maybe I am actually a true Brit inside, I’ve been dying for a bit of rain. Especially when I’m at work, after all who wants to be stuck at work when it’s gorgeous outside? Hmm not me. The past couple of days have seen the weather cool down a little, I’ve actually been enjoying the dip in temperature mainly cause my house is like a sauna, something I won’t moan about in the winter but right now… ooof. I got sent a gorgeous floral dress from Lavish Alice a little while ago, but with it’s 3/4 sleeves, I’ve found it too hot to wear it just yet. However this slightly cooler weather has meant I have been able to run to my wardrobe and finally wear it! Yay.

This floral shift dress, is a little different to other dresses I have. I love the floral design, that’s totally up my street, but the sleeves and neckline give it an almost 60’s feel. Something that took a while of getting used to! I’ve popped my Dorothy Perkins statement necklace over the top to break up the floral-ness of the dress. Yes that is a word. It has little slits, up the side of the leg * oooh saucy* it’s a great summer nights dress, as the material is quite thick, so it’d keep you warm at marshmallow toasting BBQ’s. I really like this dress though, it’s good to have something different in your wardrobe! I tend to team it with my trusty Steve Madden sandals and a statement ring. Also right now this dress is in the sale, it’s just £10!! That is too good to resist right?
