Hey girlies!
As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, ever since I got my eyelash applicator from Superdrug (update: I’ve done some research and you can get these applicators also with the Hollywood lashes kit from ELF and they come with some Eylure lashes too) I’ve been wanting to try more false lashes out as I seem to be actually applying them properly instead of halfway up my eyelid like I used to when I was just using tweezers.
I popped into Superdrug where they currently have a 3 for 2 offer on Eylure lashes (Boots do too FYI) a lot of you said Eylure lashes were your favourites and I have heard so many good things about Eylure. I also have tried Eylure out before (full Girls Aloud lash collection over here) so I thought they were the safest option. I bought three pairs which were styles 100, 107 and 202.
The styles 100 and 107 are evening wear and super full styles but are very natural styles, the 202’s are massive in your face double lashes, these are the type of lashes you wear when you want to look like a TOWIE girl. I’m undecided on these and might take them back for a more natural pair…
I also bought some lash glue, I eventually want to buy some Duo glue as it’s supposed to be the best lash glue in the business, however for like £2.60 this Eylure lash glue is pretty good and very, very sticky as I found out yesterday but I’ll tell you more about that later.
The style 100 Lashes once applied..
Yesterday I had work, I work at the local football club where I’m a promoter for their charity, I sell lottery tickets on match days and do other events etc. Now I’ve found within my job, the more glamorous you are the more tickets you sell and the more money is raised for under privileged little children ( you’d buy a ticket from me right?!) Men are very fickle creatures let me tell you ladies, so I decided I would try out some false lashes for work. I decided to use the style 100, a very natural super full style, they add fullness and length to the lashes which sounded perfect for me. Now you know I said how using my new superdrug applicator made applying lashes so much easier? Well yesterday the little applicator let me down. Yes I managed to apply the lashes to my lash line but I managed to get the glue from the lashes like everywhere. I’m talking all over my eyelids,to the point my eyelid was almost glued together so I couldn’t properly shut my eye and my liquid eyeliner was glued to my eyelid. Last night it would not budge and now I fear that I will permanently have a lined lash line ( I suppose there’s worse things to be tattooed with..)
I apologise for the red 50-50 Lotto top- that indeed is my work uniform.
After all that kerfuffle I managed to get my lashes on perfectly and stuck on properly. The finished look? I felt like Cher Lloyd. You see the past few weeks I’ve been wearing very minimal make up so to go from hardly any make up to a full face inc EL double wear and false lashes was a bit woaaah. I almost started singing ‘ swagger jagger, swagger jagger, you should get some of your own..’ but I didn’t.
I do like these lashes though, they lasted the whole day (even after a little appearance on the big screen on the pitch at half time in front of 25,00 fans) I realise I have properly digressed in this post and if you’ve made it to this point then thank you for not getting bored of my waffle.
So yes I like Eylure lashes, I’ve heard a lot of people love the style 101 so I might pick them up at some point or swap my massive double lashes for them. Just a word of warning don’t apply too much glue or you too will end up with a tattooed lash line.
Have a lovely Sunday girls 🙂
