Other Girls Aloud fans will notice a song lyric from them from the title there. Ooh what an interesting start to my post eh? So yes let’s get on with the post eh? It’s about glitter, if you hadn’t already guessed! Glitter nail polish to be more precise.
At the moment, I cannot get enough of glitter nail polish especially Models Own glitter polishes. I used to love glitter polish when I was younger and would wear it to discos accompanied with glitter hair spray, glitter on my face (my mother was very inventive with make up) and glittery Tammy Girl clothes. But I got older (funnily enough) and you start to look for more sophisticated choices in the nail polish department. However even though I am like seven months away from turning 21, I seem to have reverted to my child like ways of craving glitter.
It’s like a disco but in a bottle.
Now I would love to wear a sequin dress all the time, but I feel I may get a few odd looks in my lectures, especially as most of the time I am the only one not hungover so they may even think I was an hallucination so I add a little sparkle in my life by wearing glitter on my nails. Now one reason I love Models Own glitter polishes so much compared to other brands is because the glitter is so opaque, two coats give you a full on discoball nail and isn’t any of this measly just a top coat business. Also you get the Models Own formula which means it dries quick and when aided with a top coat it will last you a good five days. Btw this is what happens with me, if you’re job is a builder or something then your glittery polish may not last as long.
Omg I’ve just realised I haven’t even told you about the new shades I bought the other day, I’ve been too busy reminiscing about my childhood. Basically I had a craving for new polish, as I was starting to wear Pink Fizz by Models Own ( a gorgeous pink glitter) like all the time and I didn’t want people to think ‘oh she has a beauty blog but only one nail polish’ I’m a bit funny with my nails it’s like clothes, you can’t wear the same outfit two days in a row and you can’t wear the same polish two weeks in a row. Nothing against anyone who does do this, these are just a few of the rules in Corrie World. Another one is no flesh tights are allowed unless it’s for work reasons. Today I saw a girl in shorts and flesh tights and I thought ‘one it looks like your legs so just get them out if you want to show them off and two they won’t be keeping you very warm’ I sniggered wearing my SUPER COSY tights from Primark.

To cut a long story short, I fell in love with Emerald Green ( a jade glitter) and ended up ordering three polishes from Asos, Emerald City, Disco Mix and Silver Fox. I had an exclusive discount which I was given when one of my deliveries was two weeks late. I am in love with Emerald City which is what I’m wearing right now, I keep looking at my nails and staring and thinking ‘my nails are soooooo pretty.’ I keep saying to my boyfriend ‘LOOK at my nails.’ He just ends up giving me an odd look and then continues to say how I fancy Caroline Flack. N.B I don’t fancy her, I just like her style and have a girl crush which is totally different to a boy crush. I don’t think about her in the same way that I do about One Direction for example. Also Emerald City has earned me lots of compliments about my nails, even a lady in the Co-Op said she liked them.
I just want to stare at them forever.
I realise this is such a rambley post. All in all I love Models Own glitter polishes, I am eyeing up their glitter set on their website and have directed my boyfriend to it in case he wants to buy it me for Christmas! I hope you all have a lovely Friday evening 🙂
