Hello!
So with today being Black Friday, I thought today would be a good time to get together a shopping list for all things we still need for the baby, I have to admit, that although I love shopping for the baby, I find it also quite overwhelming.
Quite often I’ve said to Henry – ‘ do you think we actually need that?’ or have wondered if it’s worth seeing what the baby will be like before buying bits, but anyways I asked over on Instagram for your new baby must haves and the replies were very helpful!!
I thought it might be easier to write a post with the most recommended things which I can then update also! Please feel free to comment with any other essentials you think should be on the list.
Sleeping
Next To Me Crib (snuzpod & Chicco were mentioned the most)
Sleepyhead (probably the most recommended thing by a country mile! I am on the fence about them still as they’re a very controversial product- please do your own research before deciding, but they seem to be very well loved by new parents for day time naps)
Ewan The Sheep/ White Noise Machine
Love To Dream Swaddle Sleeping Bags
Soft light/ reading light (so it’s not too bright for when doing feeds in the night)
Sensory Star Light
Feeding
MAM bottles (the most popular brand mentioned!!)
Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine (recommended ALOT for those who are bottle feeding)
Hands Free Breast Pump (if you’re going to breastfeed and express)
Cold water steriliser
Feeding pillow
Changing
Lots of nappies
Multiple changing mats round the house
Changing caddy for around the house
Nappy Bin
Clothes
Variety of sized clothes – babygrows (with hands and feet included) sleepsuits, vests, bodysuits, etc…
Basic vests/bodysuits (someone said you can nvever have enough!!)
Zip up babygrows (for when you’re changing them in the night and very tired- you don’t have to faff with poppers!)
Napisan (for poo stains)
Bathing
Shnuggle Bath Tub (angel one was also mentioned!)
Cuddle Dry Towel
Bath thermometer
PlayTime
Play Gym / Mat
Joie Serina Swivel / Electric baby bouncer

Lots of muslin cloths (espeically large ones)
