So today’s post is a little different to usual, but I hope you’ll like it anyways. With everything going on at the moment, it’s particularly scary to be a business owner / self employed, we all are feeling quite anxious with work being very quiet and it’s scary when you’ve spent so long working hard on your own business.
I’m trying to share a couple of businesses a day on my Instagram, and this is a post I’ve been meaning to do for ages, but finally had the push to do this week.
In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing my recommendations of where to get beauty treatments in Shrewsbury.
I know this is quite niche, but I do know that some of you are from Shrewsbury, or nearby and sometimes ask me for recommendations, so today I thought I’d share these.
I also think now more than ever, we need to be supporting one another, so this is just me supporting some amazing local businesswomen on my platform.
I know that right now money is a little bit tight, but all these businesses are still open, are very hygienic, and you can buy vouchers, or even if you just follow them and book in with them when this all blows over, I’m sure they’ll be super appreciative!
So l’m going to separate these into sections, and also there is literally so many wonderful beauty businesses in Shrewsbury, I could have literally written about 120 down, but I’ve stuck to ones I use/used/have friends who go to –
Hair
CM Hair & Beauty / Caz Mortimer Hair : Caz is my wonderful hairdresser, she’s amazing at what she does, gives everyone hair goals, and has recently opened her own salon. She’s pretty much fully booked at the moment, but she puts up cancellations on her story and if you can get one of those, then you’re on her books. Her salon has free parking, and has lots of other amazing beauty gals working with her so do check out her Insta page.
Hair By Doria : Doria did my wedding hair, she always does an amazing job and does my sister’s and Mum’s hair. She’s based in the town centre so really easy to get to! She’s so lovely too, and is currently still open also!
Lashes
Sam Flockhart Beauty Studio : My pal Sam has recently opened her own little studio and does lash extensions, LVL, as well as make up (more on that in a min) she is amazing at lashes. She does the best fluffy, wispy lashes and her studio is so cute. It has free parking and super easy to drive to. Go check out her insta, you’ll want to book in ASAP!

Lush Lashes : I’ve also had my lashes done by Sally before, who also does an amazing job. As well as lashes, she also does other beauty treatments such as massages, nails & brows. Her at home salon is perfect if you live a little outside of Shrewsbury as it’s just out of town. Her beauty room is so relaxing, she also has an incredibly cute little dachshund!

Lashes By The Wellness Warrior : Sophie has recently trained in lashes, and her instagram pics look amazing! Although I’ve never had my lashes done by her, I know Sophie as she used to work at my gym, and her pictures look incredible. She’s also doing other beauty treatments such as Microdemrbasion, and brows too! She’s also an amazing fitness instructor too.
Beauty
Georgia May Therapies : Georgia is my go to girl for my brows, I don’t think my brows have ever looked this good, she is a miracle worker! Georgia has a lovely at home salon which is really easy to get to and has free parking on the road outside. She also does other treatments such as LVL, and facial treatments too. She’s so clued up about about skin, and skincare and is so passionate. I love going to visit her and always feel so relaxed afterwards.

Beauty By Nikki : I recently was gifted a treatment with Nikki for Christmas, my Mum got me a dermplaning facial which I absolutely loved. My skin has never been so smooth! Nikki was absolutely lovely, a total professional and offers lots of treatments within her space at the Trends & Blends salon.
Beauty By Sally Shrewsbury – Sally is a mobile beauty therapist which is fab if you can’t drive, or would rather have treatments in your home. She does lash extensions, LVL, shellac nails, spray tans, and many more! I’ve been following Sally on IG for ages and she seems so lovely and her pictures of treatments always look amazing.
Raeberry Nails : Rae’s nail salon is currently closed for the time being due to the dreaded C word, but if you’re looking for somewhere relaxing to go get your nails done when this has blown over, this is the place to go. Rae has done my nails a couple of times, and I loved having gel nails, as they lasted so long!
Cassie Newton : So Cassie is currently working from home ( I think) but specialises in lots of different beauty treatments such as brows, microblading, etc… I know lots of people who have visited her and have loved their treatments. The salon she was based in sadly flooded a few weeks ago, so send her a DM to book in.
OOh La La Shrewsbury: My next recommendation is somewhere I’ve not been myself, but have several friends who have and that’s Ooh la la Shrewsbury. It seems that Nicola is the queen of nail art, the pictures she puts up are INCREDIBLE!! I am waiting for the day I have an excuse to book in with her, because the designs she does are amazing!
Make Up
Kate Lambie Make Up : Kate did my wedding make up, and I adored what she did for me and my wedding party. Also Kate is litreally one of the funniest people you will ever meet! She also does beauty treatments such as LVL and brows too, but specialises in wedding, and occasion make up. Perfect for an event, or night out, she’s currently working from her home salon but when there’s not a pandemic going on, she also is mobile too. Her Instagram is great as she’s been posting IGTV’s with her skincare and make up recomendations which I’ve been loving!

Sam Flockhart Make Up : So I mentioned Sam above for lashes, but she also does wedding and occasion make up too! She does occasion make up at her studio, and I’ve had my make up done by Sam before and it was amazing. Definitely would recommend if you’ve got something coming up, also Sam and Kate are happy to work together too, if you’re needing a large wedding party made up for your wedding day 🙂

I hope this has helped if you’re ever looking for someone to go in Shrewsbury for beauty treatments, every single one of these girls are so talented and can’t recommend them enough! We’re currently going through a pretty tough time and self employed people/small businesses are really struggling, even if you book in with them in a few months time or follow them on Instagram, I’m sure they’ll be really so appreciative.
