So today, I am starting a new series on here, I know, I know, that I’ve said this many times before, and then never stuck to it. But, I promise, I’m going to try to stick with this one, as I am really excited about it!
I decided to switch my style up a little, at the start of the year. Focusing on a more ‘polished’ look, and trying to look chic, but on a budget has always been my style goal.
I’ve always loved minimalistic, timeless style, and wanted to mimic it myself. I wanted to prove to myself that you don’t need to spend a fortune to get the look I was pinning to my Pinterest Inspo boards.
So I’m going to be doing a series of posts, on the items I think add a chic touch to your wardrobe but are from the high street, or are on budget.
I’m going to be talking about specific items, to colours, and looks in general, but I’m really excited and hope you will all like it too!
So to start, I want to talk about The Camel Coat – a must for any chic wardrobe.
When I was planning my winter outfits, (I know, my inner Monica Gellar would be proud) I was seeing a lot of outfits with a camel coat. I decided I needed one in my wardrobe.
It looks good with a lot of outfits, from dressed down with jeans, to dressed up with a skirt and tights. You can throw it on with anything and it looks good.
I also feel a camel coat always dresses an outfit up too, perfect for work or day-to-day. I always feel very polished and put together in mine. So where did I get mine from?
I’ve found the perfect camel coat *gifted but it did take me a while, I tried on loads which just didn’t seem to suit me, or made me look like Inspector Gadget (what a film eh!) Till I found this one from Boohoo.
It’s from their petite range, which is perfect for me as I have a child like upper body and usually find that unless a coat is petite, I look like I’ve dressed in my Dad’s wardrobe!
It’s quite tailored which I like, and I think adds to achieving that polished look.
Coming in at £50, it definitely doesn’t break the bank, is incredibly well made so feels more expensive. And there’s usually a discount code floating around so you can probably get it for cheaper too!
And don’t worry, it’s not just a petite coat, you can find the regular version here.
So there we go, the perfect camel coat, a must have addition to any chic wardrobe.
I really hope you like these posts, and let me know if you have any must haves for your wardrobe that makes you feel super chic?
*Disclaimer – this post includes gifted items, however, my opinions remain the same and 100% honest and genuine as always.
