Like most people, one of the things I was most excited about leaving school, was leaving behind my school uniform.
I remember being so excited for college and being able to wear my own clothes! I was like a kid at Christmas deciding my outfits for my first week, I distinctly remember those outfits heavily featuring denim skirts, dolly shoes and a big old belt (2007 fashion was something else!)
So it may seem a bit strange, that for the last couple of Autumn’s, I’ve been reverting back to an almost school uniform for some outfits.
Though, I wish my school uniform had been this cool. Mine was boring black trousers (had to be a bootcut style from Tammy Girl obvz) black jumper, white shirt and a coloured tie. I wish we’d got to wear plaid skirts!
Anyways, school uniform chic seems to be back in a big way right now.
The shops are full of plaid, checks, and well you’re all set to look like you’ve stepped out of an American teen show with these outfits.
I’ve been loving this Green plaid skirt from Miss Selfridge, it makes me feel like I’m at Constance Girls School (10 points if you know which programme this school is from!)
I’ve been pairing this with a black roll neck, tights and boots, and yep I think this will be a fave outfit of mine this Autumn.
There are lots of other skirts like this around right now, so you too can look like you’re at Chilton, a clone of Cher from Clueless, and yes I want them all.
So two questions to end this post :
1. Are you into this trend, or is it a no from you?
and
2. What was your school uniform like?
