The UK seems to be experiencing some very out of character weather at the moment, as for the past couple of weeks, we’ve had a heat wave which means that for once, our summer has been hot and no rain in sight. I know, it’s literally a Christmas miracle.
However, as most of you who read this blog, live in the UK like me, you’ll probably agree that we are definitely not cut out for this weather, bedrooms feel like sauna’s, and I can’t remember what it’s like to not constantly be sweaty. Mind you, not that I’m complaining, this sunny weather has been amazing and long may it continue. Though I have a feeling, we’ll probably soon be in a drought like in A Cinderella Story, and I do hope that someone in the UK gets to say ‘Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing.’
ANYWAYS, enough of early 00’s teen films, today, we’re going to talk denim shorts.
My most worn clothing item right now and I wanted to write a post about a pair that I am hailing the best shorts ever. Yep I went there, and I wanted to share them with you in case you are currently trying to find the perfect pair of denim shorts.
In hindsight, denim shorts should be easy to find, but I find they’re a nightmare. however over the years, I feel like I’ve realised what makes a good pair.
My perfect pair is from H&M, I got them last year and they still sell them which is why I’m writing this post.

They have a bit of a vintage vibe to them which I love, and I am obsessed and may buy another back up pair as I love them that much.
I sized up in them, as I’d always recommend going up 1-2 sizes in denim shorts, as denim shorts always seem to run on the small size, and having the short looser around your leg is so much more comfortable and flattering! These are also a really good length, as so many shorts these days seem to be content on showing your bum to everyone.
I wear these denim shorts with everything though, from t-shirts, to cami’s, shirts, sandals, pumps, wedges- anything.
Now that I’m writing this post, it seems a bit pointless, but I just wanted to let you know about some denim shorts I’ve found that are under £20 and are amazing- and if you’re looking for some for this heatwave- I have you covered.
