I probably should have posted these outfit photos as soon as I took them a couple of weeks ago, cause now looking at the weather outside, it seems absurd to be wearing shorts. Good old British summertime weather eh? But honestly, a couple of weeks ago we did have a good old heatwave and I’m sure if you were in the UK, you’ll know how we all struggled in thirty degree heat. Us brits love a good moan, we moan when it’s cold, but also moan when it’s hot haha.
Anyways, it was super hot outside, and I went to town on one of the cloudier (albeit still roasting) days with Henry’s sister Tash (who kindly took these photos for me.) This was a first outting for these shorts and sunglasses, so I thought why not treat them to an outfit post. You know spoil them.
Do not panic, I haven’t lost my keys. I’m trying to look cool.
I’ve always found shopping for shorts quite difficult, especially when recently it seems so many shorts seem to show your bum cheeks and not all of us are after that look. Though honestly, is anyone really into that look? Answers on a postcard please. Anyways, these are from Zara, I thought they were quite flattering and weren’t too expensive either. I’ve been loving Topshop for shorts too, but I order them in two sizes above my size, this makes them super comfy and flattering.
Outfit Details:
Shirt: Topshop
Shorts: Zara
Sunglasses: MONNIER Freres*
Shoes: Forever 21
I’ve also been loving a simple white shirt tucked into jeans/shorts recently too, so I quite liked this outfit. I thought it was quite simple, the cotton shirt was nice and cool and I didn’t feel too exposed. Like I said my sunglasses were also new, they are the Celine Baby Audrey sunglasses, which I’ve wanted for so long. I’m not 100% sure if they suit me, but they’re so pretty. MONNIER Freres kindly sent me a voucher to spend on their website and after much deliberating, I went for the Celine sunglasses. I am worried that I have sparked a designer sunglasses addiction though, I think some Ray-Bans are next on my list! I don’t know if you’ve heard of MONNIER Freres but they are a designer and luxury accessory and fashion website but have a lot of discounts on luxury items, so you can usually get a good saving on items so definitely worth a look 🙂
Annoyingly just as I was getting used to wearing shorts and summer dresses, the weather changed and now I’m back to a hoodie and jeans. Brilliant haha.
Also I am hoping to get a summer lookbook filmed before you know summer ends, I need to get my arse into gear, but I am trying hard to get it done before the house move next week (omg) but fingers crossed I’ll get it done! Please let me know as always if you have an outfit post requests!
What summer wear have you been loving this year so far?
