Hello!
I’m a bit of a mascara floozy, the only reason I am is because after years of trying I still haven’t found that perfect mascara. I’m after one that makes my lashes super long, super thick and lasts through everything. I want something that’s going to last me through rain and shine and make me look like I’ve whipped the falsies on. There’s always lots of mascaras being released and of course as soon as I finish one, I head to Boots/Superdrug to get myself a new one. I’ve never really bothered with high end mascara’s as I’m determined to find a good drugstore one! Mascara’s are starting to get more clever with their formula’s, Rimmel’s latest offering is no exception to that. Rimmel launched their first Lash Accelerator a couple of years back, I remember buying it intrigued at the fact it contained a formula that could help your lashes grow longer. I remember using it, not being wowed but actually noticing a little difference in my lashes. However Rimmel from the end of this month are launching a new addition to their Lash Accelerator family. The Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara* has a new formula and brush compared to the other ones. It contains Rimmel’s exclusive grow lash complex of Procapil, Keratin and antioxidants. The formula claims to make your lashes appear 99% longer instantly and 127% longer in just 30 days. Sounds too good to be true right? Well let’s see how I’ve been getting on with this latest addition from Rimmel.
I’ve been using this mascara for a couple of weeks now and I have to say it ain’t half bad. It’s not perfect but let’s get to that later. First of all it has one of those plastic bristle brushes which I usually are not a fan of but this one I quite like. It combs through your lashes which means you don’t get any clumps which you can sometimes get with big thick brushes. The formula’s quite wet which means it can get quite messy, so maybe this might be one of those mascara’s that is a bit easier to use when it’s dried out a little. So how does this mascara make my lashes look? Well it does actually make my lashes really long, I usually put on a couple of coats and I’m like ‘Wow check My lashes out!’ However this mascara is really good for lengthening your lashes but due to the bristly wand it’s not great for volume. This means I tend to put a mascara on over the top to thicken them out a little bit. All in all this is one of the better drugstore mascara’s I’ve used in a while. I’m pretty impressed to be fair and it’s much better than I thought it would be. But for now we’ll see if my lashes look any longer in 30 days. It does take quite a lot to make my lashes look really long, if you’re blessed with naturally amazing lashes then this could be a great mascara for you, but if you’re like me, you may be happier pairing it with another mascara.
The Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara* rolls into counters from the 23rd January (today) and will be £7.99. Let me know what your favourite mascara is 🙂
