Hey Lovelies!
So what a lovely sunny day it has been today, I have to admit sitting on my balcony with the sun shining made doing uni work that little bit more bearable. Of course with any hint of warmth I instantly get into Spring mode. I’m already trying to ditch the wintry colours in my wardrobe and my nails are no exception. I can’t take credit for this spring time inspired manicure however, I saw this on Makeup Savvy’s blog where I was inspired to mix up the classic french manicure. I’m sure all of you read Fee’s blog, but if you don’t she’s doing a special 30 days of nail challenge and her post about a spring manicure inspired by Zoeey Deschanel who had posted a similar look on her instagram. I fell in love with the look and the next night adorned my nails in similar colours.
For this look I used a sheer nude colour, I chose Look Beauty’s Petticoat shade which I bought when I was last back home, this is a really lovely nude shade which is perfect for a clean polished look. For the tips I used Models Own Jade Stone which was the same which Fee used. I did deliberate using China Glaze’s For Audrey but preferred the slightly mint green tone of Jade Stone. Over all I’m really pleased with the look, I’ve always loved how french manicures look but sometimes find them a little boring so I think I will be trying this look out with different coloured tips. I’m thinking neon pink next 🙂 So thanks Fee for the inspiration and check out her blog if you haven’t already! What’s your favourite spring time nail colour?
Right I’m off to enjoy the rest of my Sunday, I have been quite productive today with doing uni work and reading on the balcony but now it’s time to type up my notes and give the flat a good old clean as the sun is starting to hide away. I hope you’ve all had a lovely Sunday 🙂
