Hey Girlies!
Hope you’re all okay and have been enjoying the sunshine! I realised before that I hardly ever do nail posts on here anymore, a few months back I always used to post my nail colour of the week but I stopped as I started to use the same colours and thought it would be boring to keep repeating posts! Luckily this week I’ve done something a little different with my nails and thought that it deserved a post about them.
There’s been lots of new ‘nail trends’ within recent months which has resulted in us getting arty with our nails. The leopard print trend is still at large and I seem to be the only person who can’t perfect the look. I think that my cack handness has something to do with this. However one trend that I can nail ( ha see what I did there) is nail painting trends.
We’ve seen nail painting trends such as Ombre nails which is where you paint every nail a different shade of a colour family, so for example if you were doing a brown ombre look, you could start with dark chocolate brown and end with a nude. The ring finger trend has also been huge where you either paint or put nail art on your ring finger and it’s something that Kelly Rowland has been seen rocking on The X Factor lately.
The other night I was painting my nails and I couldn’t decide just which colour to paint my nails, I narrowed my choice to three colours and I thought ‘why do I have to choose? I can use all three!’ The three polishes in question are all Models Own shades ( a particular favourite of mine) and the shades are: Pastel Pink ( a gorgeous creamy baby pink) Pink Punch ( a beautifully bright coral/pink) and Pink Fizz ( a gorgeous opaque glittery pink.)
I decided to put Pastel Pink on three of my nails and then add pink punch to my second finger (is it’s official name the forefinger?) Then Pink Fizz on my ring finger. I thought that it might look a little weird but I actually really like the look and I’ve had quite a few compliments which is always good. It’s a really easy way to mix your nails up a bit and it’s not too technical either which is great for me! I am going to be trying this with different colours for sure to mix it up!
What do you think? Are you into nail art? Any tips?
Hope you all have a lovely evening 🙂
